When the work becomes difficult or progress feels slow, sometimes you need a reminder that all the practice, effort and determination you have given to your craft, performance or project are worth it. Keep going and keep dancing. The work is part of the joy of getting there.

The original watercolour is the first finished piece from my new series of ballet art studies, with more planned throughout 2026. The painting may be soft and pink, but the message behind it is strong. A ballerina needs strength, discipline and resilience, even when the finished performance appears effortless.
