If you have ever worked around horses, you will appreciate the way the light reveals their incredible strength. You can almost sense that this fellow is itching to leave the stable, get moving and begin his work.

I love horses, and although I only had the opportunity to work with them for a short time, the memories have stayed with me. I remember their breath hanging in the cold stable air during winter and the way the light showed off their musculature in the paddock after they had been curried to a shine.

Horses are one of my favourite subjects, and I plan to create more equine cards, paintings and posters in the future.
