After years of sharing recipes through Experimenting in My Kitchen, I’m bringing that love of food back to life again, blending it with my art and storytelling.

My new recipe and mixology cards combine creativity and flavour, celebrating simple joys and Canadian-made inspiration.

Dawn McNaught - Message from the Artist

I am now settled after the move. My apartment is cozy, the pets are content, and my studio, writing area, and kitchen all function to my standards. I still misplace the occasional cooking utensil and need to dig through water colour pencils, drawing pads, or clay, but I am functioning again and back to creating for myself. and others.

I have a few frogs in the works as well as my own illustrations, and I am enjoying having the colour fill my studio as those colours remind me Spring is just around the corner!

The first two written recipe cards, well truly they are sheets, PDF's, cover basic knowledge sourdough baking and how to make a starter. They are now available under Products -> Recipes. I have many other recipe cards and packages in the works and am working through more than a decade of written and tested recipes I never got on to the blog experimentinginmykitchen.blogspot.com.

With more than 30 styles of bread, both instant yeast and sourdough to work through, plus the flavour packages and combinations I enjoy experimenting with, I have at least a year's work ahead of me finishing these projects while still making time to advance my stories and the larger art pieces I wish to tackle.

Moving Forward:

Additional recipes cards, baking guides and flavour packages will be released as they are completed.
New digital artwork and posters will added to the shop through the coming months.
A small collection of short stories, PDF's, will be released, with a few available as free samples.
Work continues on the fable style children's stories with full illustration are still in the works.
My novel Climate collateral is currently in it's final stages of revision.

The website will continue to evolve.
