How Art, Handwritten Cards and Art Can Matter

In a world now filled with quick, AI-generated digital messages, the importance of genuine connection can often feel overshadowed. Texts, emails, and social media updates might be convenient, but they often lack the warmth and care that a phone call, office visit, or even a simple handwritten card can bring. Those personal touches truly matter.
We are emotional beings who crave real social interaction, not just social media reactions.

Reflecting on my own journey of organizing my artwork and using AI as a tool to overcome some personal challenges, I’ve come to recognize how meaningful these personal touches can be. A visit, a call, or yes, a handwritten card, is more than just a “check-in.” It captures a moment and reminds the recipient that someone took the time to think of them.
Taking the time to deliver something human-made can remind people that they matter. In a time when emojis often replace real emotion, a “high-touch” visit or a small, thoughtful gift carries irreplaceable warmth. We could use a little of that these days.
I did use AI to assist generating this message, because it is helpful and it has been an aid in getting my own projects up and running. It has also caused me an awful lot of revisions, editing and other frustrations too.
Thats just my thought this week while I wrestle not only with AI generated text and overly helpful, unneceassary lists, (spelling error is deliberate - lets see if you read it.) I saw a few people genuinely react with emotion on the Poster Print Proofs I just received. I'll stick with the art and high touch ways we communicate.
Have a great weekend. I'll post when my posters are posted.
