I am a Canadian artist and author, inspired by the richness and beauty of this country. My work reflects the northern lights, wildlife, horses, barns, and the seasonal landscapes that make Canada unique. I strive to capture vibrant colour, atmospheric light, and an honest, painterly style in everything I create. Over the past 30 years, I have explored a wide range of creative paths, from mixed media and acrylics to watercolours and storytelling. This journey has given me a broad perspective and a deep appreciation for the world around me. My collections include wildlife art, equestrian paintings, florals, seasonal cards, and larger works that explore the changing Canadian landscape. I am also the author of The Coldwater Chronicles climate trilogy and have developed many projects for print and digital media. Every piece I create is part of my story, a reflection of my connection to nature, animals, and the life I see around me.

I’m not just an artist — I’m a storyteller, and that means I create with all my senses.

We eat with our eyes, feel with our hearts, and a single scent can take us somewhere we haven’t been in years. A painting can pull you back into childhood; the taste of a dish can bring you home in your imagination. Nostalgia guides much of what I create, whether I’m painting, writing, or crafting recipes that feel like memories you can taste.

I love sharing the stories behind my dishes and giving people something they can hold onto. Literally. That’s why I offer both physical and digital recipe card blanks, along with downloadable recipes for anyone who wants to continue exploring my creations at home.

My work is rooted in the belief that art, food, and emotion are deeply intertwined. Food brings us closer. The meals we make for others carry affection, history, and intention. And just like art, food can teach us, comfort us, or remind us of who we were in moments we long to revisit.

My art, recipes, and books all play on these senses, they belong to the same creative world and are natural extensions of my artistic practice. Everything I make comes from that same place of emotion, imagination, and connection.

My website is still in the works, but you’re welcome to join the journey early. I’m building a subscription format that will span all four of my platforms, so you can be the first to see new art, new recipes, and everything in between.

If you’re here, you’re already part of the story — and I’m so glad you’re along for the ride.

Combining Art, Food and Storytelling with Heart

Children’s Stories with Illustrations

* MY FIRST COMPLETED STORIES*

 - Title to be determined - I originally wrote the base in 2006, was dusted off and reworked slightly to trim down the content. It should fit nicely into a 32 page book.

I’m formatting illustrations to match the fable, with hopes to release it by late 2025 or early 2026.

I will put updates here and on Facebook.

- The Life of Clover – A whimsical hedgehog exploring the seasons. First short book and YouTube shorts in progress.

- Doofus the Dragon – Reviving an old character from my sketchbooks, now taking shape for a new generation. “The Life of Fungus” and others will be part of this collection.  A Picture Book Collection

Graphic/ Visual  and Short Video Projects

- James Noir – A film-noir styled dinosaur navigating satire and society.

- Ravenscraig – A moody, Celtic-inspired visual series drawn from ideas and dreams I first explored over a decade ago while roleplaying in a digital world. The worlds are long gone, but my stories remain. I'm currently testing a few images and the origin Story and will upload a version before the end of 2025.

I’ll be refocusing these original ideas and adapting them into visual/graphic novels, onto YouTube as short stories or books as they first took shape in my creative mind.

💡 These projects are in various stages — some near release, others still on the drawing board. Follow along here or on YouTube to watch them take shape.

Artwork and Series

Canadiana Provincial Pride Cards:

A set of 2 cards per province, highlighting the things that make each unique. Canada’s diversity of landscapes, wildlife, and even urban imagery will be reflected. This is an ongoing series — the first set of 4 cards is now available to purchase.

Larger Paintings and Posters:

I’ve completed several larger pieces and am testing the web as a sales tool for works sized 8 × 10 and up. I also plan to release a poster series in late 2025 or early 2026. Posters will be reproduced at a lower cost than fine art prints, making a select range of my imagery more accessible.

Stay tuned.
