These little guys are always a hit at Christmas — and every time I paint them, they turn out completely unique. My Christmas Gnomes are always a little grumpy, and honestly, that’s their charm. They get dragged out for the holidays, happily participate in the festivities, and then can’t wait to disappear back into my imagination (or onto my easel) until next year… when their cousins take over.
 
With their classic white beards, round noses, over-large bellies, and slightly ill-fitting hats, these grumpy Christmas gnomes are guaranteed to make someone smile — especially that friend or relative who has a little “holiday humbug” in them too.
